I have contacted AAA Home Inspections based on recommendations from our realtor as well as a few acquaintances who have used this company in the past. When I called and spoke to Frank, asking to set up a date for home inspection, Frank told us that he won’t be available on the date and time we needed due to the overlapping inspection. But he has recommended Colin Shoemaker, a partner he is working with over many years. And we happy he did. Collin was on site about 15 minutes before the scheduled time. He was polite and professional. We are first time home buyers so the entire process is a bit new to us. Colin patiently explain what he will do and what elements of the structure he will inspect. It took him about 2.5 hours to complete the job. He has printed a report right there on the spot, and went with us through all the suggested repairs, explaining what may be considered as major, mid tier or minor repair. He even suggested an approximate estimate of the suggested repair work, even though this was not part of his job. Overall, we are very happy with Colin’s services. He is both professional inspector and genuinely pleasant person to work with. We will definitely recommend AAA Home Inspections and specifically Colin Shoemaker if/when someone we know may need home inspection services.
