All In One Home Inspection

Joseph was great. We hired him off Angie’s List to inspect the first home we went under contract for. That transaction didn’t happen and we used him again to inspect the home we ended up purchasing. He gave us a discount for the second home…which was a nice touch. Joseph was very patient and willing to explain all of the issues thank came up during the inspection.

We booked Joe online for our first inspection in October 2014. I was impressed with the ease of scheduling– I just found an open date and time that worked for us, selected it on his online calendar, and Joe arrived promptly. He called in advance to let me know he was on his way and to give us an ETA. He was incredibly professional, very polite, and more thorough than I could have imagined. I’m a first-time home buyer, and when I told him that, he took the time to explain everything I might ever need to know about how to be a good caretaker to my home and everything inside of it.

Joe showed up on time. he inspected the grounds first, then the separate two car garage, then the home. from the top floor down to the basement. he took about four hours to complete his inspection. this man did not miss a beat. we decided not to purchase the house because of all the work it would cost to make this home livable. he was worth every bit of money to find out about the things wrong with this house. the inspection included things people would never expect to be found.

Joe gets to the root of the problem. He is an engineer by training and very professional. I was referred to AIO by two separate friends in NJ . I made an appointment over the phone. The week before the inspection, I left TWO voicemails, spaced three days apart, the second of which was on a Friday, and I confirmed the appointment for the following Monday morning. On Monday morning, *10 minutes* before my appointment, he calls and tells me he cannot make it and has no one else that can either. He said he had a scheduling error. The attorney was already at the house, I took off a day of work to go there, and the owners also had to leave. Joe said it was his fault, but that does not really help me. I was at the end of the inspection period, so I was really in a pickle. Thankfully, the agent knew of a number of another inspector who happened to have a cancellation that day.

Joe is an engineer and I have never seen such a detailed thorough home inspection. From going into crawl spaces, hot attics and climbing the roof, this inspector does it all. His knowledge is truly the biggest plus. When we were not able to keep our Monday appointment because of attorney review he was accommodating and responsive to our request and concerns. He highlighted and educated us about so many things and areas in the home. He did not rush and answered any questions and concerns. The icing on the cake was his organization, as he provided me with a binder where all my reports are to be stored and includes a nice manual. I love technology but I also love having access to important information without having to log in to computer or phone. I highly recommend this company and service above any inspector in the area.
