After completing over 400 hours of class courses and field training and over 100 home inspections, Karen received the status of full membership in the National Society of Home Inspectors. She then qualified for membership in the International Association of Certified Home Inspectors, after passing their tests she applied and was accepted in that organization. In addition, she is qualified to inspect for Structural Pests and Wood Destroying Organisms. She has credentials as a certified residential mold inspector and certified commercial mold inspector and although she has the certification to perform mold remediation, she chooses to remain unbiased and does not offer any remediation or repair services. After completing these courses she was qualified for and became a member of the National Association of Mold Inspectors. She also completed specialized training for Manufactured/Mobile Home inspections. In keeping with public interest in energy efficiency, Karen has certified as both an Energy Auditor and Weatherization Auditor. Her background and training far exceeds the Pennsylvania standards for certification as a home inspector.

I had contacted Peter and Karen on short notice for a same week inspection on a foreclosed property that had to be inspected within 10 days. They had immediate availability, and were flexible with the scheduling. At the property, they did a thorough inspection on both the the inside and outside of the house. I asked many questions throughout the inspection, and they were happy to explain anything I threw at them. Karen said that she liked old houses, and it showed — she was very knowledgable of the structure of the house, common issues, and the symptoms to look for. The inspection report was turned around very quickly. Overall.

Karen and Peter did an awesome job providing a detailed home inspection, which included both photos and detailed notes of the quality and issues of the home. It allowed me to make an informed decision while also educating me in basic and advanced home owner knowledge. They also encouraged questions while on site so that there was no confusion or misunderstanding regarding what they were seeing. They did a very thorough job and I would reccomend them for any home inspection needs.
