I started “Almost Home” Inspections LLC in 2015 and I have over 10 years of experience. I was trained through American Home Inspector Training Institute and have achieved the highest designation in the inspection industry Certified Master inspector. I have also achieved other Inspector designations through ASHI, MAHI, and InterNACHI. I have been happily married to my beautiful wife, Jessica, for over 8 years and we have 6 children.

Home buying is a very exciting adventure and I take pride in being able to educate my clients about their new investment. I start my inspections with encouraging clients to follow me through the property and ask a lot of questions. Since I include testing of all appliances in my fee, it is a good way for them to see how things operate. Our goal here at “Almost Home” is to provide the client with peace of mind, stellar customer service, and a quality inspection. Clients receive their detailed electronic report next-day along with a housewarming gift!

These guys are THE most expensive in the area and clearly scam artist. They will fail you for ridiculous things despite years of passed inspections just to get their second “re-inspection fee”. Avoid these con artists like the plague.

Buying a home is stressful- and the home inspection can be the most stressful of all- paying someone to tell you everything that is and could be wrong with the house you love. I was blown away by the inspection we got on our home, Matthew was careful, thorough and patient with all of our questions. It was amazing to get to know our new home through his critical and observant eye, now we know where all the important things are- and what to keep an eye on for home maintenance. We even got a new homeowner handbook, and a free subscription to Porch Home Assistant to help with our moving and maintenance needs. On top of the day of education about our home, we also received our report so quickly. I highly recommend “Almost Home” Inspections to anyone buying a new home, or wanting a check up on the home you are living in. I wish we had done an inspection before putting our home on the market, there would have been a lot less costly repairs that can get in the way of an easy settlement.

Matthew was on time, affordable and extremely professional. As a single woman buying my first home, he took the time to explain the deficiencies he found to where I understood them. At the end of the inspection he provided me with a booklet which explains each area of the home and what to look out for. On top of that, I got a $200 credit for Porch handyman services. Don’t think twice about hiring him for your inspection, do it. You’ll thank me later.
