American Building Inspectors, Inc. was established as a Commercial Building Inspection service by R.J. D’Angelo in 1983. It is a locally-owned company and not a franchise. Seeing the need for qualified Home Inspectors to serve home buyers, he branched-off into Home Inspections. Since Home Inspectors were rare at that time, Mr. D’Angelo is considered a pioneer in the Home Inspection Industry. His ASHI Certification #716 indicates that he was one of the first members of the American Society of Home Inspectors. More importantly, he has a B.S. in Construction Engineering Technology. In PA and DE, only a high school diploma is required to perform inspections.

Ralph was terrific. He was easy to contact, extremely accommodating, prompt, and professional. He walked us through the house with him showing us what needed to be done, sharing his thoughts on how to do it correctly. He was very thorough, took his time and left nothing unaddressed. Afterwards when I had a question, he answered his phone immediately and was glad to help. His report was very detailed and easy to understand with plenty of pictures showing exactly where the problem areas were. Two thumbs way up for American Building Inspectors.
