ASTAR Home Inspection

We had our home inspected for potential buyers by this inspection company. Our home is barely 3 yrs old and by the time we got his report it sounded like our house should be condemned. There is such as thing as paying too close of attention to deal that it is just a nuisance. He nit-picked and falsefied a lot of inefficiencies in our home that caused us to spend money to have specialists come out and pass what he calls out as inefficient. He is incompetent when it comes to high-end kitchen appliances or not being able to find switches that were right in front of him then marks what he doesnt understand as inefficient.

The Owner Scott Wiley is one of the most unethical contractors I’ve ever dealt with. He came to the house unprepared without a key. I asked if he wanted me to unlock the door for him which I did. He went way over board on his inspection and did two things that caused us to lose the sale on our house. First, he told the buyers he thought I was a liar. How did he come to this conclusion. I spoke to him for about 3 minutes before I left my home for him to inspect.

We were an out of town buyer interested in an older beachfront condo. ASTAR was able to provide us a detailed inspection quickly within our option period. Due to some scheduling difficulties with our realtor, we were unable to see the condo in person and relied on the seller’s photos, a virtual tour, and the home inspection. Nonetheless, Scott’s detailed inspection provided us the confidence to close on the condo sight unseen. In addition to providing a detailed report, he also spent the time and effort to talk to me on the phone providing a valuable verbal rundown and summary. I had some follow-up questions afterward that he spoke to me about as well.

Excellent customer service, coordinates all inspections smoothly, excellent follow through, very pleasant and professional and took time to go over the report with me in details.

Scott did a great job inspecting our future home he answered all the questions we had and went into detail about the discrepancies he found I would definitely recommend scott and ASTAR home inspection thank you again for the great service.
