Bay Area Home Inspection, LLC is owned and operated by Walt Fish, who has been providing quality service to the Houghton area since 2006. After 16 years of working in the construction industry, Walt received his license as a home inspector in Wisconsin in 1999. Since moving to Copper Country, he has been instrumental in establishing home inspections in the Upper Peninsula. Michigan has no competency standards in place for home inspectors, which makes Walt one of the few inspectors serving the area to hold a state license.

I’m excited to be using such a fine, reputable and talented master inspector!!
We needed an inspection during the week of the 4th of July and they were able to schedule us in for an evening session on the 3rd despite a very loaded schedule. Walt Fish showed up to the appointment early. He was very thorough and impartial throughout the entire inspection. He educated us on aspects of building code, gave us suggestions on corrective actions, and responded to all of our questions thoughtfully. Finally, he delivered us his formal report the very same evening that he conducted the inspection. Between the last minute appointment and how rapidly he prepared the report, it is clear that Bay Area Home Inspection goes the extra mile for their customers.
