BPG Inspections - Atlanta Home Inspectors
BPG inspectors perform comprehensive visual inspections involving a home’s major visible, structural and mechanical systems for homeowners and prospective buyers. BPG Inspectors adhere to the appropriate state licensing law for home inspections (where applicable) or a nationally recognized standard or practice for home inspections such as ASHI or NACHI standard. The items examined in a typical home inspection include the plumbing, electrical, heating and air conditioning systems, foundation, roof, exterior and interior structures and built-in appliances. The visual inspection culminates in a set of comprehensive, computer generated reports describing the condition of the items and systems inspected. Your digital report with photos will be delivered within 24 hours or less.
They broke a tile in the bathroom and left it and insulation all over house. Said many non issues were issues due to incompetence, like not knowing how to operate a gas fireplace, or what a drain stopper looks like
When I finally spoke with the risk management person at BPG, I was told their offer to us was normal in this situation. I’m shocked to know this is a normal situation. Our inspection, which we unfortunately relied on, was incompetent. The Atlanta Area Manager came out to do a follow up inspection, and he acknowledged all the problems with the first inspection. He said that it never should have happened. He wrote a second report which detailed the missed items from the first inspection.
Deceptive on price and price gouging. Extremely poor customer service. Inspection cost was not disclosed up front, on site we were told ‘I don’t handle that aspect’. Ultimately charged almost 1,000 for an inspection. I called 3 times to inquire about it, but no manager would return my call. Months later they decided it was easier to push to collection agency than simply call me to reach an agreement. Not a company that respects or cares about customers.
As a real estate agent I often recommend home inspectors to my clients. I have successfully used BPG until my most recent experience with their sewer line inspector. Sewer Consultants sent and inspector who charged my clients $300 and never did the inspection, but sent a report that was clearly from a different property. We ultimately had to use a different plumbing company to complete the inspection. Never Again with these guys.
We had 2 inspections on 2 different houses with 2 different inspectors. The inspectors are wonderful and very thorough! But I wasn’t prepared for the bombardment of sales calls following the inspection trying to get me to purchase home security. I’ve gotten at least 8 calls about it. I stopped answering when I recognized the area code they were calling from. Things went quiet then I recently started getting calls from them with a Washington state number!
So worth the money! Keith Cook was amazing for our two home inspections. He went above and beyond and I have such peace of mind for it. Detailed, willing to go through it, and pleasant. Also super easy to schedule and took care of dealing with the builders. Would HIGHLY recommend.
