Seriously, I have never really been that concerned about how the report looks, I just want to make sure the house doesn’t have any major defects. So, yes I was completely amazed and elated to find someone who was not only well qualified to perform an inspection, but also to find someone who could submit a well written report on top of it. It was money well spent. In short, Mike knows his trade, his communication skills are exemplary, he was quick to respond, he notified me when he was on his way

Above and beyond what I had expected. If you’re looking for someone who has experience, is knowledgeable and whom you can trust, then call Mike. I am 48 years old. I have bought many houses over the years and have had many inspections done. I am leaving a review for Mike, because the service which he provided me with was exemplary. Communication is key, Mike responded to my call in less than five minutes. On the day of the inspection, he notified me that he was on his way. He showed up on time and ready to work. Upon seeing the property, he realized that the house was in poor shape, so he asked me if I was buying it as an investment. I informed him that I was, but that I was planning on living in the house while doing the repairs. I explained to him that I was really only needing for him to check on some important key points, like roofing, foundation, electrical, and so on. After finding out what my needs were, Mike said,, “no problem”, that he would simply check the areas which concerned me the most, and that he would cut his fee by 50%”. That to me was amazing, since his price was already so low. I will say, he is not the first inspector to do that for me, but it is not something one can count on, so when it happens it’s appreciated. Upon completing the inspection and before we left the property that day, Mike clearly explained to me where the problem areas were, what exactly was wrong, what would need to be done to correct the matter and how urgently each repair needed to be completed. . By the next day, I wasn’t all that concerned with seeing Mike’s report, but I went ahead and took a look at it anyway. I simply wanted to see what he had written, before sending a copy of it off to my lender. Wow! I was amazed. The report was beautiful. The pictures were clear, and they clearly indicated the the location of the issues which we had spoken about the day before; what really impressed me though was his writing skills. His report was not only professionally written, but the manner in which it was written well exceeded my expectation; The proper use of grammar and level of vocabulary was not what I was expecting to see, based on my experience from other reports I have received in the past. Not that any of the other previous reports were not well written, they were; just not to the same level as Mike’s. Most of the time when we are looking for someone to do a property inspection, we are looking for someone who is knowledgeable about the mechanical and structural components of a property. We don’t want to get into a house and find out that the person who performed the inspection was not fully competent or knowledgeable.
