My husband & I were purchasing a 2nd home on Cape Cod & after contacting several companies, decided to go with Mike from Cape Cod Building Inspections. We met at the property & proceeded to go through the house one section at a time. Mike was very thorough & patient, explaining all of the conditions along the way, which took over 3 hours, then sent us a very detailed report the following morning. We’ve had several home inspections in the past, but never anything this thorough & would highly recommend him to anyone going through this vital stage of the purchase process. Laura Hayden

We recently had the pleasure to work with Mike Murphy. He was extraordinary at what he did, because throughout the home inspection he kept asking us if we had any questions or concerns. He was very knowledgeable and when asked a question he answers that question in a very detailed manner, which made it easy to understand for us since we know nothing about what to look for when buying a house. Mike Murphy is a genuine professional who can be trusted and we would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone who is looking for a competent and sincere home inspector, which in this market you rarely see.

I just purchased my 3rd home, which was older & needed work, but being in the trades ( HVAC ) most of my life, thought having a home inspection wasn’t necessary. At the urging from friends & family, who have used Mike in the past, I decided it may be a good idea. We went through the house together, discussing all of the issues & although most were really not a surprise to me, he found vermiculite insulation inside the attic, which I had never really heard of & once tested, was determined to have asbestos content. My Realtor was able to negotiate having it removed by the sellers & re-insulate the entire attic. I would strongly recommend Mike to anyone purchasing a home, not just for the issues found, but for the “piece of mind”, thanks again…
