Certified Residential Inspectors is a family-run business, providing home inspections in Wake County and surrounding areas in North Carolina, including Cary, Raleigh, Morrisville, Apex, Holly Springs, Fuquay Varina, Durham, Chapel Hill, and Pittsboro.

The purchase of your home is one of your biggest and most exciting investments, and we want you to be knowledgeable about what you are buying. Our home inspectors have over 35 years of experience and are educated about construction practices in the area, and what best holds up over time. With Certified Residential Inspectors, we provide two licensed inspectors at your home inspection. We will spot problems not apparent to the untrained eye, and we will provide you with a full report on the condition of the property.

His reports are easy to read. His wife Patti schedules the appointments and she is always pleasant and easy to work with. My clients receive their reports the same day as the inspection. In addition to that, Ed is always available by phone or email when needed.

After being a REALTOR for 12 years, Certified Residential Inspectors is the only inspection company I use. They are thorough, professional and outstanding at what they do. Ed Kiley, the owner, always provides a verbal summary at time of inspection and emails a comprehensive written report with supporting photos promptly (typically the same day). He is always available for any questions if necessary and is great with my clients. Ed is also a licensed General Contractor, providing an additional level of expertise which puts him a step ahead of many of his competitors. Patti, Ed’s wife, handles the front office and is a pleasure to work with, quick to respond to scheduling requests and always there for any special inquiries. You can try, but I don’t think you can find a better home inspection company.

Our inspection report included detailed photos and diagrams of all kinds of issues we hadn’t noticed during our home tour, and he also spent a lot of time on the phone with us after hours, explaining what each of the issues meant and how we could go about resolving them. This was just invaluable for first-time homebuyers. 10/10 highly recommend.
