As a first time home buyer (and a person who grew up in New York accustomed to apartment-style living), I had so many questions about owning a home. As exciting and rewarding as the home-buying process can be, it is also one that can be quite overwhelming. Having a licensed home inspector who was patient, knowledgeable, and willing to answer all my questions was crucial. Sam of Check Master Home Inspections provided the utmost professionalism and patience I needed. First, he was incredibly responsive; he was able to schedule the inspection the very next day after my initial call, before the long holiday weekend began. At the home inspection, he was thorough and meticulous, taking his time to inspect every nook and cranny in the house. More than anything, he was willing to essentially hold my hand and walk me through the home inspection and answer every question I had without rushing me or being critical of my ignorance. He did not cut corners and took pictures of all the recommended repairs and deficiencies for his inspection report. He gave me pointed advice on when I would need to replace certain equipment in the house and estimates for how much those repairs would cost. He also explained how the HVAC system and other equipment in the house worked and what professionals I should seek in the event something malfunctioned. I came out of the inspection armed with more knowledge and feeling more at ease.
