Let me start with saying this review is by your average guy who has zero problems telling someone how it is, if their work is good or garbage. So if you’re the average guy or anybody else in between this is the review for you. Let’s begin with Charlie the owner. Not only is he friendly he’s honest and does an extremely thorough job when it comes to home inspection. He takes the time to explain to you his findings, both good and bad. He answers your questions with true honesty and in a non condescending manner. He takes his time to inspect what needs to be inspected and does a very thorough job. He finished my home inspection around 3:00 PM on Wednesday. The full report was in my e-mail inbox at 5:10 AM Thursday. Extremely impressive for turn around time in my opinion. I can imagine anyone with this attention to job detail would demand the same of his staff as well. It seems today customer service is sadly absent in most businesses. Why we accept that I don’t know. Well no need to accept poor to no customer service at Chicagoland Home Inspections Inc. They are a top notch company who does outstanding work. I can’t say enough good about them. It’s about time a company actually cares about the customer. You know, the customer, the ones who keep them in business. Well they do and it shows in their attitude and quality of work. I would highly recommend using them. Stop looking and hire them now for your next home inspection. You will not be disappointed.

I had my prospective home inspected yesterday by Mark. He was punctual and very thorough, walking me through every step of the process and even providing home maintenance tips along the way. He left no stone unturned. The things that he caught helped me dodge a MASSIVE bullet and void the contract. I will definitely be using them again the next time I need an inspection. 10/10 all around experience. You will NOT regret using this company. Thanks guys!!!

Overall, I was very pleased with the service and experience and would recommend to others. John O. inspected a property I’m looking to buy, he was professional, on time (early even), good humored, and very attentive to detail. He pointed out things as we went along, delivered what seems to be a pretty comprehensive report and provided some tips for how to address minor fixes if I wanted to in the future. I’ve followed up post-inspection to see if there were any contractors Chicagoland recommends to specialized inspections; I haven’t heard back yet but expect to soon. Four star rating is simply because I have no comparison point. I valued their service, but I honestly don’t know how they compare with others who offer this service. For example, on the website they highlight a set of tools typically used in inspections, however for my inspection I only noticed the use of a flashlight and outlet tester. Perhaps this was all that was needed in my case, but I’d be a bit surprised if other companies didn’t use these too. This wasn’t a downside, rather simply noting that the comparison is hard. In short, I would happily recommend Chicagoland for other home inspections and would likely consult with them again and I happen to use anyone else in the future, I may return to amend my review.
