It was great. No problems. The guy went through everything with me and explained all that he was looking for. He gave thorough explanations. I was very pleased.
Basically, I would say that Discovery Inspections failed to perform in every possible way. The inspector failed to notice that there were bearing walls in the house that had no floor joists under them. The inspector also failed to notice that the foundation had bowed significantly due to the lack of support under bearing walls.
I’m not the first complaint they had like this. Read their BBB complaint and how they handle business when things go wrong. Just hope and pray your inspection goes right because if they miss something – especially a really big problem, they will turn their cheeks. They will remind you that you signed a contract that says “you cannot hold them liable if they are negligent during your home inspection.” Be sure you read your contract and not be fooled by good reviews. Stay away from this company.
Caleb did an EXCELLENT job! He went above and beyond what was expected even in showering rain. He was careful to explain everything in great detail and even gave suggestions for solutions. Between his pictures and detailed explanations we were able to avoid disaster. We’ll definitely ask for him again next time! I also wish I could recall the name of the sweet lady I spoke to on the phone. She was very professional and helpful as well. All in all I’m quite pleased with this company. We’ll be using them in the future!
My experience with Discovery Inspections was terrific! The inspectors Shawn and Gary were extremely thorough. They took the time to properly explain throughout the inspection what they were looking for and how it would effect me as a homeowner. A professional and quality service. I left feeling more educated and comfortable knowing no stone was left unturned. I highly recommend Discovery.
Chris did a thorough job checking out the house that we are under contract to purchase. We feel confident and informed as to the issues that need to be addressed. Also, he was very attentive to all of the questions that we had. We would highly recommend him and Discovery Inspections.
