The home inspection was actually very comprehensive. unfortunately the pricing structure was very shady. I was quoted one price on the phone and then at the completion of the home inspection I was charged a different price. I was told that the inspector didnt realize that the home had an in-law that needed to be inspected. He realized that when he arrived at the home Im sure ,but didnt bother to tell me that the price was going to be 60\$ more.
I would give Done Rite 0 stars if that were possible. Fred Butts, the owner, performed the inspection himself. His missed several things that should’ve been obvious to someone in his profession. Heres a list of some of the things he missed: Leaky roof that caused mold in the attic, rotted shingles on dormer (rotted so badly that there was a hole the size of a tennis ball), rotted sill in rear of house, and the house is infested with mice (mouse droppings found everywhere once I started looking). I have spent thousands repairing these problems. We never would have bought the house had we known all these issues existed.
I wouldn t hesitate to give Fred 0 stars if I could. He charged us \$365 for a brand new condo inspection did superficial inspection pointed out a couple screws didn t check the electric outlets, let alone check for gas leaks. Beware he s absolutely useless, and you re throwing your money away.
In the process of buying our first home and Fred was terrific with our home inspection. Took the time to go over everything with us and was very thorough. Walked us through what was important and what were small tweaks that would be needed. Very knowledgeable and able to “dumb it down” so we could understand as first time buyers. Very good and would highly recommend.
Love the way Fred is able to not just do an inspection but also able to advise a nervous buyer about the upkeep and general maintenance of the largest purchase they will make over their lifetime. Highly recommended
Fred is knowledgeable and knows the codes. Always prompt! What I love the most about Fred, is that he is NOT an alarmist. He tells you the facts and then my clients and I can make informed decisions based on his inspections results. I’ve been using Fred for many years and would highly recommend him.
