The best of the best! Ed provided a comprehensive and timely inspection that was exactly what we were looking for. He had some wonderful insights and tips about older Pittsburgh homes and it was really like talking to a neighbor who was looking out for you! He provided the report on the spot in multiple formats, was fairly priced, very knowledgable, and great to talk to. Can’t recommend enough!

I understood all of the homes good parts and bad parts. He helped not only by providing a meticulous inspection but also by making recommendations on how to care for and maintenance our new home long term. Further, he really did take time he checked everything and answered every question. We did not leave until we were certain that we knew the shape the home was in. I have purchased a home three times in the past and Ed was the most thorough and spent the most time explaining everything he found to me. Finally, Valerie on his team made booking my appointment and completing everything beyond easy. I truly recommend Ed for a home inspection.

SUMMARY Ed is the best inspector I’ve ever worked with. He’s incredibly thorough and will find EVERYTHING that is or could become a potential issue. He’s also affordable. You will not be disappointed. For reference, I own several houses and rental properties, and am well experienced with home construction and renovation. THINGS I LIKED In addition to providing excellent services as an inspector, he’ll give you recommendations on upcoming and routine maintenance that applies to the specific appliances and amenities of the house you’re looking at. I also loved that he takes drone footage of the house, which allowed him to check out the roof/chimneys/etc. He also uses the drone to give you a video tour of the house so that you have photographic evidence of the place in case there are new issues at the final inspection. He’ll also spend as much time as you want going through the house and will be happy to spend extra time or focus on anything you inquire about. THINGS I DISLIKED Nothing ONE IMPORTANT NOTE Some selling agents (realtors) dislike Ed because he is SO THOROUGH. What this means for you is that you need to be prepared for him to find issues with the house, because every house has issues, and he doesn’t omit the small details like some other inspectors. His goal is not to talk you out of buying. His goal is to make sure you are informed. Make sure you understand his findings, and use that information to make good decisions.
