Fred Herndon Home Inspections

Fred was thorough, helpful, and patient. He not only spent a great deal of time inspecting the property but talked through his findings with us before writing them up. I would certainly hire him again.

Fred did exactly what I hoped an inspector would do. He went over the home with a fine-toothed comb, from the foundation to the roof, and everything in between. He provided a very thorough and detailed report, and was available for all follow-up questions. He made sure we understood the significance and urgency of all the items on the report. He was very professional and knowledgeable, and did not rush through any of the process. It was an all-around great experience.

Fred was wonderful to work with. He was very upfront about the process, charges, and everything was online, which was great given the current covid-19 pandemic. He was extremely thorough – he took 3 hours to carefully go through the entirety of the 2700 square foot townhome we are purchasing. He then spent an additional 20 minutes explaining each item to us in detail, which was great for a novice home buyer, like myself. He included photos of each item in the report, which was helpful to show the home owners and to serve as reminders. He was a pleasure to work with, and I’d absolutely hire him again!

He’s passionate, nimble, informative and never made us feel rushed. His enthusiasm was contagious and you’ll leave your inspection an informed buyer with remarkable knowledge. He was unbiased and took the time to answer any concerns or questions we had. Our report was emailed to us within 48 hours and included a picture of the home and an extremely detailed report for each facet of the home. I wish we were always buying houses so we could hang out with Fred, he’s just that great!

He’s extremely knowledgeable and detail oriented. He took his time and let us be a part of the process so that we could learn our new home better–always thoroughly answering our questions. His report was easy for us to read and full of detail–using pictures and providing helpful future suggestions on maintenance.
