Brian was recommended by our realtor to do a house inspection. Since we are first-time homebuyers, the whole process was both exciting and terrifying. But Brian was patient, thorough and willing to take the time to answer any questions we had. The company’s website is also quite informative; we particularly liked being able to schedule the appointment online. We would definitely use Gate City Home Inspections again, and wholeheartedly recommend the firm to anyone looking for a solid inspection.

Brian was detailed and thorough in his report. Because I was purchasing the house long distance, I appreciated all of the detailed photographs with arrows and drawings that he included in his report. I strongly recommend.

Brian did a very thorough inspection of a property for us, and was able to identify not only things that are current issues but things that we should keep an eye on in the future. He also took the time to explain issues to us on the spot so we had a clear understanding of what he was looking for so we understood everything. He was able to work with our schedule to help keep our timeline on track and we had our full water and home inspection complete almost immediately after he finished his inspection with photos of all the areas inspected. We didn’t end up purchasing the property due to some issues that were found and unable to come to agreement with the seller, but I fully plan to use Brian in the future.

Brian showed up on time and was very thorough. He explained to us the issues found and also how to fix them. He was punctual, very friendly and took his time to ensure we were satisfied with his findings. Highly recommended!

Very professional guy and very knowledgeable. Really liked talking to him. He was very patient with all of my questions and answered all of them.
