High Desert Inspections was founded by Matt Pillsbury in September of 2014. Matt is a native Nevadan, born and raised in Reno. During his childhood he was always helping his father with projects around the house. His love of the outdoors comes from all the time he spent hunting and fishing with his family. Matt achieved the rank of Eagle Scout by the age 15, he stayed active in the Boy Scouts until the age of 18. During high school Matt learned to, and built, his first house in a building trade’s class at Truckee Meadows Community College (TMCC). It was then that Matt decided to pursue a career in construction. For the last 15 year Matt has expanded his knowledge of the different aspects of home construction. After a back injury Matt decided to put his tool bags down and pick up a camera.
