H&J Freile Home Inspection

While I see 1 or 2 negative reviews of Freile, I encourage people to consider the small sample size. I am a big Angie’s List user and fan, and it occurred to me that Freile really deserves my review (and it’s pretty likely that most Freile clients who are happy just don’t think to review them, b/c home inspections that are uneventful tend to be an afterthought). In my experience — two home inspections, but also comparing Freile’s level of service and reporting detail to other home inspection reports/companies I’ve seen (including the company that did one on my current house), I think Freile is excellent, and honestly, close to the and quot;Cadillacand quot; of inspectors in the NJ-metro area. **Of course, I’m sure they have multiple inspectors, and quality of inspectors likely varies. But I’ve had 3 inspectors in 8 years, and all 3 were excellent.

I an extremely please! From my call with the receptionist to Kevin the home inspector, these guys are professionals in their field. Let me say, these guys are not the cheapest, but they’re worth every penny. I even asked the office manager why they were so expensive and she was very honest as said, and quot;You’re paying for the inspector’s experience. An a veteran experience with 10-15 years will cost more than someone with only 5 years. Experienced home inpsectors will find more issues based on years of practice in so many homes than a new inspector.and quot; Kevin was on time and he scanned every inch of the house getting there at nine and leaving at 12:30. He found issues I know I would have missed (I’m a GC). And be prepared for the report you’ll receive. It’s not going to be some 1-2 page type up. It will be a binder of information about your house. Like I said, these guys are good and you get what you pay for.

The company came recommended to me by another home inspection company outside of my area. My realtor had also used them in the past. The inspector who came to my house was professional, and punctional, however he did not impress me. For one thing, he spent about 45 minutes trying to figure out how to turn the heating system on. Granted it was a complex system, but I felt like this was time that he could have used to do other things. For example, I don’t think he checked all of the outlets for correct polarity. He ran the A/C and indicated it was fine, but then his final report said that the A/C worked intermittently and recommended a check by an HVAC person. The two things I liked about this inspection was that they bring out a separate inspector for the wood destroying insects. Also, they use a computerized radon system, which is apparently tamper resistant.

The entire team I dealt with was fantastic from start to finish. Dean with the front office was respectful and answered all my questions prior to my home inspection and Kevin was fantastic when it came to the actual inspection itself. He also answered all our questions and went through every little concern he saw throughout the home. The inspection report was extremely professional and came earlier than I expected. I 100% recommend this Home Inspection team for all their services!

I used H&J Freile for two home inspections over the last few months and Billy performed both of them. He was extremely diligent and took his time evaluating the home and reviewing each finding with me. H&J Freile’s detailed inspection report prevented me from buying a home that would have resulted in many out-of-pocket expenses that a first time home buyer would not want to deal with. I would recommend them to anyone. They worked to schedule the inspection on a tight timeline and did an amazing job. Thank you so much for all of your hard work and expertise!

I highly recommend H&J Freile for home inspections. Our home inspector was Carl, he was extremely professional, friendly, thorough and knowledgeable. My husband and I were so impressed by how much learned from our home inspection as Carl took the time to explain everything to us. Dean at the office was extremely friendly, helpful and quickly responded to any questions I had. This company was so easy to work with and communicate with. Their professionalism and friendliness was impressive! I HIGHLY recommend this company for you next home inspection!
