Remember The home inspector’s duty is to act as an objective third party and provide accurate, pertinent information about the home so that his client, usually a buyer, can have a clear picture from which to make informed decisions.
He should not try to influence the client against a property, but neither should he soft-peddle or minimize serious problems in an effort to “keep the deal together.” Be sure your inspector knows you are his client and is prepared to represent your interests exclusively.

John has done a few inspections on my houses and I also referred John to my the home that my sister purchased and I want to say how great John is. The work that he puts in and the attention to detail while doing the inspection is what the inspector you want before purchasing your home. I recently purchased a home in Dix Hills and used John Graham of Homespec Home Inspections to inspect it prior to purchase. John was thorough, polite, and professional. He patiently answered all my questions and concerns and afterward, I got a detailed report the same day. I was referred a few inspection companies by my agent, but chose Homespec as John has 20 years experience and several certifications. Buying a home is a huge investment and paying for a qualified inspector is well worth the money.
