The home inspector documented his findings in detail, pointing out areas of confusion and making clear suggestions to clarify. He was professional and prompt and went above and beyond what was expected in unusual circumstances.

I wouldn’t recommend this inspector in general to anyone. The inspector did not see damage to shingles on roofs from trees. We were only advised to have the trees removed from our house. He didn’t try to run the sprinklers, which could have revealed two expensive leaks before our purchase. While we were wrapping things up, I asked him to run the sprinklers if he came back in two days to test for radon. He said he’d do it but never did. The inspector was very professional and took the time to talk with us about our house.

Above I have explained the most important points. I will mention that he had promised to send the inspection report on the night of the inspection. It was delivered in my email, complete with photos and a summary sheet with all the information we discussed at the appointment.

I agree wholeheartedly with Steve Williams. My experience with this joke of an outfit was nearly identical to his. While I would not necessarily call them crooks I will tell you they are horrible at inspecting homes and I am surprised they are still in business. My inspection happened back in 2009 and man what a mistake it was to hire these guys. I was a first time home buyer at the time and I trusted them to give me an honest assessment of the property I was buying. Well, as it turns out, they were arrogant, dishonest, incompetent and lazy. This dishonesty and incompetence lead to over $20,000 in repairs that we had to take care of just to make our house safe to live in. Had any one of the issues been disclosed in the inspection report we would have walked away from the purchase. Instead, we were told there were no major issues, it was a good house. I’m a working class man and the $20,000.00 in repairs nearly bankrupted me and certainly put a major strain on my marriage.Yeah, STAY AWAY FROM HOMESPEC, these guys are terrible. It is certainly too bad that Colorado laws do not hold home inspectors more accountable for their work. The regulations are so lax that shysters likes these can stay in business and take advantage of decent, god fearing (albeit naive) people. Buyer beware if you hire these guys.

Great inspection company. Honest, reliable and professional. Not sure on the negitive reviews other than some only comment when they are not happy. No inspector can see through walls. I trust in their work and service.

I like his work so much that when my husband and I bought an investment property recently, he was the one we called to do our inspection. He’s very knowledgeable and professional.
