I have hired Tim and been on the receiving end of Tim’s home inspection when buyers hired him. In both cases, Tim did an excellent and thorough job telling you the realities of the home and what may be needed to remedy issues.

HomeView inspected for our purchase of our 1940 Cape in Portsmouth and it was well worth both the time ( I spent 3 hours observing ) and the cost as we immediately used the clearly reported information to have work done by the seller and to make allowances for future repairs. This saved us big jing.

BUYERS BEWARE!!!! Cost us $20,000!!!! Did not open furnace or inspect furnace, continued to increase the cost of each house we had inspected and his favorite term was “you should talk to an expert” even though that’s what his job was. Told us the furnace of the house we ended up buying “just needed to be cleaned “. In the end he ended up costing us $20,000 and will not even give partial refund!!! He put that every single thing needed to be inspected by a proper inspector which made no sense because he is supposed to be an inspector and not only that but the realtor and my husband and many other people were there to hear his statements directly so he can try to claim that he posted it or wrote it in the report but after charging $850 for an inspection report I expected him to actually inspect things instead of just pass the buck on to someone else and having it cost us over $20,000 ! He did not even follow his own contract where it said he would open up all heating systems and describe the conditions.
