My husband and I are first time home-buyers. Since we are new to the experience and are purchasing a foreclosure, we wanted to be sure we were making a sound investment. Jim was fabulous. He definitely knows his stuff. Jim gave a thorough home inspection and really made sure we were comfortable with the process. Jim answered everyone of our questions in an honest and forthright manner. The reporting was top-notch, lots of photographs and details to explain the condition of the house. If you want to make sure you have a quality inspection, I would highly recommend Jim!

The experience was great. Jim was excellent. He pointed out things that we needed to do immediately and things that we could fix over time. Jim and Amy were great! As the owner of a house built in 1952, and having had no thorough inspection since I purchased it 16 years ago, there were a number of issues (primarily structural and plumbing) that I wanted checked. Jim is incredibly knowledgeable and eager to share what he knows for the benefit of the homeowner. Thankfully, there were no major issues found but he provided a solid list of things I need to have fixed. I received his detailed report within a few hours of the inspection, done on a Sunday. I would recommend him to everyone looking for an unbiased, honest, and complete home evaluation. I can now consolidate the items to be fixed and schedule the appropriate tradespeople in an efficient manner.

We found Mr. Kielson to be knowledgeable, friendly, responsive, and willing to educate anyone who would listen about he dangers of mold, about how to remediate mold properly, and about how homeowners inadvertently contribute to mold. Mr. Kielson performed mold inspections on two homes. On the first home, he wanted to save me money and I actually talked him into doing more mold remediation because our allergies to mold are so severe. Sure enough, the house was infested with mold and the homeowners had taken precautions to attempt to cover up the mold issues. When we hired a remediation service to give us an estimate, it was $50,000 guaranteed with another $40,000 in likely problems that they wouldn’t find until they opened up the walls. Mr. Kielson literally saved us $50,000-90,000! Mr. Kielson also worked with us on the second hour when our funds were a lot tighter. He performed multiple rounds of mold tests so that we could save money. Mr. Kielson was generous with his time and his knowledge. We enjoyed talking to each other so much, we would often spend an hour on the phone each time we talked. Mr. Kielson talked through the problems he found and helped us determine how safe houses were for us to buy and live in. I cannot speak highly enough of Mr. Kielson and his services. His work was definitely 5 star work. I downgraded him one star because he highly recommended a contractor who damaged our property and acted unprofessionally. In contrast, the inspector he recommended was amazing. When you recommend a business, you stake your reputation on the quality of that person’s service and product. We are grateful for the connection to a now trusted inspector whom we will use to monitor the health and safety of our property.
