Scott is a ASHI Accredited Certified Inspector (ACI). Scott has been a home inspector since 1997 and has performed over 7500 residential inspections in the Baltimore & Washington, DC region. His inspections include single family homes, condominium inspections, new construction, “Pre-drywall” inspections, HOA “common area” assessments, and “special” specific inspections. The MHI home inspection report complies with all Virginia, Maryland, and the ASHI Standards of Practice. Scott is licensed in Maryland and Virginia. The inspection was performed by Greg Holden, one of the associate at Maury Home Inspections, LLC. He was methodical, detail oriented and provided thorough explanations. During the inspection he also provided helpful suggestions and tips on the maintenance throughout the visits as I’m a first time owner. The final report provided detailed information/assessment, suggested actions, and photographs. Was really impress with the quality of the service. Highly recommended!
We are purchasing a home that has been recently renovated from the ground up. It was about 98% complete when Scott initially inspected the home, and he pointed out every single thing that needed to be finished up, tightened up, sealed up, etc. We were able to negotiate those items into our contract and might not have known to ask for the help without his keen eye. We rehired him after the work was all done, and he noted that a few of the items were not complete–items such as improper insulation in an attic crawl space. I would have never known the difference, but it turned out the builder failed an occupancy permit inspection because of the lack of insulation–Scott was absolutely correct. We could not have done this transaction without him.
Maury Home Inspections performed the property inspection as part of the process of purchasing our first home. Our inspector, Cory, was a wealth of knowledge and was able to answer all our questions regarding the home’s maintenance. Cory was beyond friendly and easy to work with. We received the report extremely fast – the next day! The report was thorough, easy to read and understandable with photos, and even provided suggestions as to what improvements needed to be done. Everyone we were in contact with was very responsive and had excellent customer service. I would HIGHLY suggest using Maury Home Inspections.
