Metro Property Inspection

Cameron from Metro Property Inspection was hired to do the inspection of the house I am buying. He was the most thorough inspector I have ever dealt with. He was happy to answer any and all questions I had and explained everything he was doing along the way. I will definitely recommend him and Metro to anyone who needs their services.

We were really surprised (and not in a good way) with Mike Pelliccia and our experience with Metro Property Inspection. Short version—he missed an active termite infestation and then claimed no responsibility, wouldn’t refund our money, and was a terrible communicator throughout the dispute. Long version—our realtor recommended him and told us that even though it’s really expensive, it’s the most comprehensive inspection and you’re paying top dollar for them to check every little thing.

Wish I could leave 0 stars. Save yourself the headache and DO NOT HIRE this company to do your home inspections! Michael missed over 4 major natural gas leaks in an outdated gas line as well as major bathroom plumbing issues. Bathroom now needs work because of old galvanized plumbing that is mixed with copper and PVC leaking into crawlspace. Michael reported that all plumbing was copper and indeed there was not any galvanized plumbing. False! Repairs exceed over $8,000+ worth of parts and labor for both of these projects. Even though this was a major bargaining/repair oversight prior to closing, it could have been much, much worse. Me, my friends and/or family could have been severely injured in an explosion. Someone could have even died from this negligence! When I called a plumber to check out gas smells, there were leaks so bad the soap bubble tests looked like something out of a science fiction tale. There was absolutely no apology or attempt to apologize or to correct the situation.

Excellent quality inspection, showed up early and was ready as soon as able to officially start. Very thorough and detailed. Great at differentiating between minor and important items to focus on. Very professional. Only advice would be to put potential pricing estimates on items recommended for repair, which I believe is more of a company deal rather than something the inspector can control. Overall excellent!

The staff was on-time, very efficient, and extremely friendly. I felt very welcome asking questions and I appreciated the additional insight into their processes that they spoke of. They were thorough and wasted no time getting things done.
