Prior to founding Old North State Home Inspections Kent Duke, I served 21 years in the US Air Force (10 active and 11 reserve), 10 years as a crime scene investigator for Wake County and several years as a general contractor remodeling homes and doing home repairs
Kent Duke is licensed by the State of North Carolina (License #1070) and follow the Standards of Practice as set forth by the NC Home Inspector Licensing Board. I have inspected condos from 700 square feet to estate homes over 10,000 square feet; new construction homes to homes built in the late 1800’s to early 1900’s.

He’s nice, super attentive and very good at what he does. The turnaround time on his inspection report was quick, very easy to review and incredibly thorough. I would highly recommend Old North State Home Inspection.
Kent came out just a couple days after we called and scheduled my inspection. He was thorough and efficient, and took time after he was finished to talk with me about some things he found, and answered questions I had. Being a first time home buyer, I found this particularly helpful, and appreciated it from a customer service perspective as well.
He came across as very knowledgeable in his field and his explanations were thorough and understandable. I plan to use him again in the future and definitely recommend his services,
