Molds produce microscopic spores to reproduce and get from place to place. Mold spores waft through the air, indoors and out, continually. When mold spores land on an area with a high enough moisture content, they may begin growing. Molds will grow on any organic material ie. carpet, drywall, wood. Our homes are made up of mold food.
