Pillar To Post Home Inspectors
An inspection Company should provide Peace of Mind when buying or selling a home. The Capuano Team has been helping buyers and sellers since 1997 performing over 42,000 home inspections. They have been one of the top rated Pillar To Post Franchises consistently exceeding expectations of their clients.
Buying a home is one of the most significant decisions and one of the biggest investments you will ever make. A Pillar To Post home inspection will give you a clear, unbiased evaluation of a home’s condition, answer any questions you may have, and help give you peace of mind.
Our realtor suggested we use Doug from Pillar to Post for the home inspection. He showed up early, was professional and did everything I expected him to. We got the results quickly which was fantastic. I like that he gave us dates on the appliances and mechanicals so we know the age. Was more expensive than my last home inspection, but I feel like he did a better job. Worth the money. I did not like how the inspection was sold to us, was pretty pushy and felt like buying a used car. It’s better to give a recommendation for what you think the buyer should do and just leave it at that.
I have to rewrite my review. I guess I had a false sense of security because things quickly went downhill after moving into our new home. Soon after the inspection (buying new home), we began to notice several issues that should of been caught on a routine inspection. I had to hire another inspector to re-inspect the house because my family didn’t feel safe. That inspector agreed that they were reasonable things a professional should’ve caught. We now will have to spend thousands of dollars on repairs and get a lawyer involved. Brian originally said his insurance will cover his rather pricey mistake(s). We instead received a letter in the mail claiming no fault. It took me less than 10 minutes to find rat/mice activity in the attic. There is extensive damage. How this was overlooked.
Vince neglected to find a huge water leak from the washing machine that had the drywall soaked completely through quite high up on the wall. He also failed to point out several broken appliances and when I asked him about it, he basically said “tough luck” and was not apologetic in the least. Vince also missed several outlets that weren’t working. Then, upon trying to fix the water line to the fridge, we discovered that Vince missed several code violations and severe corrosion on our water heater that ended up needing replaced ASAP or we could have had severe water leaks and damage. I would not recommend using Vince to inspect your home. He also missed several faulty outlets that again, like the water to the fridge, was supposed to be tested. They promised me a refund, but after I signed the paper saying I won’t sue them (not worth my time; real estate attorney encouraged me to sue and I would have a case for the repair orders) I have yet to see a check or heat a response in 3 weeks. Saying these people do bad business is a great insult to anyone other company that has ever been told the same thing.
