Dr. Holder became a home inspector due to his passion for the construction industry after teaching high school AgriScience and Construction and also being a licensed home builder in Alabama and a construction company co-owner in the Birmingham area for nearly 30 years. He was also a National Board Certified Teacher. Terry has a Bachelors of Science, Masters of Science, and a Doctorate of Philosophy from Auburn University and an Educational Specialist Degree from the University of Montevallo. He was also an Educational Administrator where he served as Assistant Principal at Chelsea High School and Principal/Career Technical Education Director in Bibb County prior to his retirement from his education career. Terry is married to Pat Holder, a retired counselor at Oak Mountain High School, and they have 3 children and 1 grandchild. He is an avid outdoorsman and loves deer hunting and doing European Skull Mounts using Dermestid Beetles.

We had a great experience! Very thorough, let us know things that needed to be fixed for safety for our buyer. I’ve known Mr. Holder for years due to being friends with his kids, it was such a fun surprise when he came to do our inspection. Very thorough.
