Searchlight Home Inspections completed the inspection of our first home in March 2020. Jim (Inspector) went above and beyond for us! He demonstrated great knowledge and was very helpful. He answered all of our questions and made things very clear to us. Thank you for your dedication and passion for what you do. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!.

I give Jim my highest review! My husband and I are new homebuyers (May 2020) in the Grand Rapid area, and Jim welcomed us along during his inspection. He was throrough and answered all of our questions, but also made it fun. Just a great personality. He offered to give free perspective, even after our inspection, of his opinion on any work we wanted done on the house. He looked at historic pictures and provided names of his favorite local contractors per our request. Email was always quickly responded to by Jayne (office manager). Couldn’t offer higher recommendation to this small and effective inspection team! Thank you!

Jim was absolutely amazing! We were in the process of buying our first home and he did two inspections for us (the first house fell through). The first house was a late 1800’s farm house and the second and final house was built in 1970. Jim gave us such great insight on each house, how things were built in each decade, problems that decade of building is prone to, and how to take care of it. He even recommended a plan for future renovations and what would add value to the house. He answered so many questions of ours, educated us as first time homeowners on house maintenance, and was just overall a really pleasant and fun person to follow around during the inspection. Highly recommend!
