Spring is notorious for lots of rain, but especially with the harsh winter we had, it is very important to get out and make sure your “rain shields” are working their best for you. Take a look at your roof (either from a ladder or get a pair of binoculars and check it out from the ground) and inspect the condition of the shingles and flashings. Look for loose or missing shingles and for flashing that is pulling away from the siding on your house. If you’re on a ladder, now is a great time to check, inspect, and clean those gutters of any leaves or sticks that can cause clogs in your downspouts.
