Some home inspectors offer a “limited visual pool inspection” when they do a home inspection. The objective of these inspections is to determine if the pool and related equipment may benefit from a more thorough inspection by a qualified pool specialist. The scope of these inspections includes limited visual evaluations without dismantling or testing the equipment.

If you have put in an offer to buy a house with a pool, it is important that not only should you have a house inspection done by a professional, but also that you have a pool inspection done by a professional pool inspector.

Worth every penny! Do yourself a favor if you are buying a home with a pool and/or spa. Have it inspected by a professional outside of the regular home inspection. John Groh of Synergy Pool and Spa Inspections is a true professional. John went over our (soon to be) pool and spa with a fine tooth comb. He spent all the time he needed and explained every detail about the existing equipment to us. We were able to move forward with our transaction with confidence. John is an expert, but above that, he is a nice guy. We highly recommend Synergy Pool and Spa Inspections.

It was obvious even to our layman’s eyes that there were issues with the pool at our new house. As we have never owned a pool before, we had no real insight into the severity of the issues. Unfortunately the pool inspection from the general home inspection left more questions than answers. Our agent suggested bringing in John to do a real pool inspection. The level of detail in John’s report is impressive, it is comprehensive yet still accessible to someone with no prior knowledge. John’s follow up call to review the report and discuss repair options was informative and put our minds at ease. His decades of experience are evident. The report and references provided will undoubtedly be a great help to us in fixing the issues and get the pool back into shape.
