Rod has been the owner of The BrickKicker Inspection Services, Columbus franchise since 1994. He is an Accredited Certified Inspector (ACI) through the American Society of Home Inspectors (ASHI) and is a certified inspector by InterNACHI. Rod has performed several thousand whole house inspections. He is licensed by the State of Ohio to Inspect Wood Destroying Insects (aka Termite Inspector); perform Radon Measurement Services; perform Mold Testing and is a Level One Certified Infrared Thermographer. In addition, Rod is also recognized as a HUD fee paid inspector. His passion for the home inspection industry combined with annual attendance to ASHI’s Inspection World ensures he can participate in industry related educational courses to improve his inspection skills while being able to share them with others in the industry.

Rod did an inspection of our new house for us recently. Rod was very thorough, noticed and called all the good and could be better things about the house and made precise recommendations.
Rod performed a home and termite inspection for my new home. He was very informative, pointing out where issues were but also important locations for shut off valves, switches, breakers, etc. Rod answered all of my questions patiently and honestly. His experience is evident in the way he spoke and how he was able to locate possible issues. I’ve had an inspection before but it was nowhere near this detailed nor thorough. The home inspection performed by Rod from BrickKicker Columbus ripped us out of that uncomfortable mindset as we were patiently taken through the process of the home inspection. Rod not only thoroughly and carefully inspected every room of the sellers house, he did his best to transfer his knowledge, advice, and forewarning on the subject throughout the process. As I said, this was our first home inspection from any company and it feels good to know we’ll never have to consider another if the need arises.
