The House Detective Inspectors
Welcome to The House Detective, My name is John Esposito and I am a New York State licensed home inspector. In the spirit of our name, we are true detectives that detect problems and potential issues in residential and commercial properties. When we inspect your post bid home, we leave no stone unturned in assuring the most in-depth inspection of the property. While reading through this webpage, I hope you become familiar with the home inspection process and the need for the house detective home inspection agency’s services. Whether you are a buyer or a seller of a real estate in Brooklyn, Queens, Staten Island, the Bronx, Manhattan, Westchester or Long Island, it would be our pleasure to assist you.
John had already introduced himself to the seller and was on the roof performing the roof and chimney inspection. He let us know every thing that he observed and asked if we had any questions. We then followed John thruout the home at his request and were taken to school. He explained everything and even suggested remedies.
John the inspector was very professional. He was at the property early and began the outside of the house. After we arrived he took us around and explained in detail everything that he found. At the inside he allowed us to follow and he took everything apart and explained what he was doing. He found so many problems that would have cost us so much more that we figured on that we went back to the seller with the report and re negotiated $7500.00 off the original bid. The report was great. It had pictures of everything good and bad with detailed explanations as to what we were looking at. The report was sent by e-mail within hours and my attorney was so impressed that he is sending customers to John now.
I don’t normally write reviews but my experience with the house detective was so good I had to commend John. He explained everything as we went through the inspection and gave me suggestions along the way. I had my report by the next day and even weeks later when I called him with a couple of questions he took time and answered everything. Thanks again!
John saved me from the biggest mistake of my life. I was so excited to purchase my first home that I did not do my homework. I am so lucky that a good friend of mine referred John. John came out to view the home in Marine Park. After just a couple of minutes he was able to tell me that the home was not brick house as it was advertised but a wooden frame house with a brick veneer. I was shocked, as I put in my offer expecting a brick house as advertised by the real estate agent. John gave me a walk through around the outside of the house and showed me the rotting siding of the house. Not only did the house need a gut renovation on the inside, it also need significant repairs on the outside. All in all John was a very patient and a thorough inspector. I am very happy that he saved me from the money pitfall that I was about to buy. Thank you John! I will definitely only call John for any future inspections.
My wife and I have used John twice now, and his report is incredibly detailed and leaves nothing unturned. I won’t be using any other inspector in the future. Thanks again John for the great work.
Amazing, professional, swift and thorough. Truly could not have asked for more. The best!
